This week, Canadians are running free of international and government-imposed border restrictions. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the seasonal restrictions, which restrict Canadians’ ability to board international flights, were lifted. However, restrictions on Canadians traveling to the U.S. remain.

It’s also showtime on Netflix Canada as The Beatles’ “The Ed Sullivan Show” debuts and Christmas specials arrive on Netflix, CBC and Shaw TV.

Christmas treat

“Christopher Robin: The Story of Winnie the Pooh” is getting a day on Netflix Canada. The A.A. Milne classic is followed by “Snowed in with Christmas” and a “In the Heart of the Sea,” which stars Chris Hemsworth and Benjamin Walker as a pair of lost sailors of a ship known as the Essex that sank in 1820. Cate Blanchett and Djimon Hounsou round out the film.

Movies not on Netflix

Films currently not on Netflix include the year’s top-grossing film, “Avengers: Infinity War,” starring Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth. Also not on Netflix in Canada is “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Deadpool 2,” “The Boss Baby,” “Deadpool,” “The Descendants,” “The Iron Giant,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” “Strictly Ballroom,” “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” “The Mummy,” “Gone in 60 Seconds,” “Glory Daze,” “Road to Perdition,” “I Am Legend,” “The Warriors,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “House,” “House of Payne,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “The English Patient,” “A Celebration” and “The Thin Red Line.”

“Christopher Robin” is rated PG and available starting Jan. 24 on Netflix Canada.

Seth Rogen and Channing Tatum’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” is available on Netflix Canada from Jan. 24.

“Wind River” is rated R and available from Jan. 24.
