Toronto hairdresser ‘kept child porn under his pillow’

Jordan Blank, an alleged Toronto hairdresser, was ordered held on Monday by a Toronto judge pending his next court appearance on two child pornography charges. That case was adjourned to March 20. Since April, Blank has been facing six other child pornography charges, reported Global News. His lawyer declined to comment on Monday and suggested the charges were yet another case of mistaken identity. “Nothing has been proved yet,” Joseph Kennedy told The Globe and Mail. Blank worked at the Central Barbershop in Liberty Village, according to the owners, and had worked there for at least a year. He was put on leave with pay and co-workers gave him “a helping hand and a hug,” Joseph Josiahe told The Globe and Mail. His alleged offenses came to light after a “pattern of suspicious Internet activity” led police to believe Blank was in contact with children. In March, police brought Blank in for questioning and he was later charged with making child pornography. He was freed on bail. A few days later, his bail was revoked. After his arrest a second time on Jan. 8, Blank changed his appearance, shaving his head and growing a beard. But on Monday, a provincial court judge ordered Blank to wear a monitor and not to leave Toronto.
