The Great American Baking Show has enjoyed a nice little cash boost following the revelation that the musical will perform a charity song at the opening ceremony.
Media conglomerate Pandora, which produces the US reality baking show, had to pay $15m (£10.8m) for rights to two songs in US show.
However, for Season 2 of the UK spin-off, it has struck a deal to perform Meghan Trainor’s 2016 summer hit, All About That Bass.
The musical version returns for a second series in the autumn.
It is part of a deal announced this week that means WOW airtime and merchandise, as well as exclusive royalties, will be generated by the lead actors from the show, who are all under the age of 18.
MediaLive presenter Katie Waissel said it was “a great achievement” for the musicals production, which is based on the reality TV show.
“They have been involved in the production for more than a year now, and they are a very professional group.
“The crew were really happy to have them back with us to show off what they have been working on.”
The band of stars have been tasked with presenting a live music video segment at the opening ceremony, which takes place on 20 August.
They include Sharon Osbourne, fellow judge Paul Hollywood, Ricky Martin, Little Mix and Will.i.am.
Ozzy Osbourne, Bruno Mars and Ellie Goulding, plus American TV host James Corden, have also been announced as guests.
As well as just making the video, the UK musical had to get permission from all the celebrities.
Bella Thorne, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, Li Bingbing, and Lena Headey are also guests.
